PROS
Picture
The picture on the LG 60PA6500 displays all the benefits that plasma televisions have to offer their owners. The blacks are very deep and rich, and the colors are all very vibrant and lifelike. Since it features full 1080p HD, it offers the highest quality HD experience that is available today.
This TV has a 600Hz refresh rate that is stellar for watching fast-paced programming like sporting events and action movies. The 600Hz refresh rate eliminates the blurring that can sometimes occur with HDTVs that do not have enough processing power to handle fast images efficiently.
With the 60-inch size that the LG 60PA6500 has, watching TV on it is a whole different experience than watching on a smaller TV. The screen is so large that it is very easy for viewers to become completely immersed in the screen, because the screen is simply so large that the eyes never leave it.
Design
The super slim design of this TV is fantastic. Any TV that sports a 60-inch screen, yet is less than an inch wide, is a fantastically designed piece of technology. This is much slimmer than the vast majority of plasma screen televisions on the market, especially plasmas with a screen this big.
Ease of Use
The default settings on this TV really only need one adjustment. The TV comes preset in the energy efficient mode, which dims the picture. Once the full energy usage level is selected, nothing more really needs to be done. It is not necessary to adjust the settings for different lighting situations, because the LG 60PA6500 has something called Intelligent Sensor. Intelligent Sensor takes readings on the lighting that is present in the room, and it automatically adjusts the TV to provide the perfect picture.
CONS
Warm-up Period
The LG 60PA6500 takes a minute to warm up, and during this time the picture can be a little grainy. After that initial period, there never is a problem with artifacts or grainy images.
No Wi-Fi
This TV has to be wired to take advantage of the Internet features that it has, which is unacceptable in a HDTV being released in 2012.
Glare
The screen does have a little glare on it, but that is just something that all plasma television owners have to learn to deal with.
Sound
The sound is just average on the LG 60PA6500, so most people will want to hook it up to an external sound system.
BOTTOM LINE
The LG 60PA6500 is an inexpensive way for consumes to purchase a huge HDTV that has a very good picture and is simple to use. This is a great selection for people looking for an enormous plasma TV for a good price.

“No Wi-Fi – This TV has to be wired to take advantage of the Internet features that it has, which is unacceptable in a HDTV being released in 2012.”
With the possible exception of updating any firmware, to the best of my knowledge this set has no internet features therefore it does not offer or require Wi-Fi or a wired Ethernet port for connectivity.
This TV is on sale for 800 bucks right now. If you have another device that has WiFi like most blu-ray players currently do, you don’t need it on your TV. This is one of THE BEST bang for your buck Plasma TV being sold currently. Heck, with they money you save on this TV go buy a new blu-ray player and you are set!
